Study Programme Description
Fields of Competence and Professional Activity
The Master's degree programme in Educational Sciences teaches both pedagogical, psychological and methodological basics as well as skills for planning, analysing, accompanying and evaluating teaching and learning processes in the non-school education sector.
The focus is on broad-based and interdisciplinary competence and profile building for various fields of application and activities in non-school educational work, including in (further) educational institutions, organisations, associations and companies, and in scientific educational research.
Specific fields of professional activity for which the Master's programme prepares students are, for example, educational management/controlling, programme and offer development, in-company personnel and organisational development and (educational) counselling.
Study Contents
The courses offered in the Master's degree programme consist of teaching components from the disciplines of vocational education, adult education/further education, educational science and psychology. The educational science subject areas are described, analysed and discursively reflected upon from the various disciplinary perspectives. The practical approaches and also the academic orientations of the Master's programme are thus interdisciplinary.
